Dear All of Us,
Time to pack it in
for Christmas.
That takes some doing
around here because
we have thirty small
nativity sets.
They come from
from about that many
countries around the world.
Getting ready
to put them away this week,
it struck me yet again
how each of them presents
the nativity so
Differently Same
The figures all
resemble the people
of those many homelands.
All are garbed
in native dress.
All represent the
one same nativity event
Differently Same
It also stuck me that
all those represented
in that original nativity event
were
Differently Same
A new mother
and her to be husband,
displaced migrants,
hold up in an animal shed.
Some smelly shepherds
not exactly fresh,
but right from the fields.
And that at the heralding
of sky bright angels
in heavenly chorus.
Then there were some
rather well healed scholars
from somewhere far foreign
bearing especially pricey gifts.
They had to deal with,
and then dodge, Herod,
a demonic demagogue,
the Jerusalem puppet of
Empire Rome.
A migrant couple, angels,
shepherds, scholars
Differently Same
together supporting the birth
of
Baby God Boy
Emmanual
Each and all following their
various visions, dreams, lights.
That's how it got started.
That's how it still goes.
Differently Same
We're not them and there.
We're now in our where.
We support and share
Love Liveness
in the
Kin Domain
of
Godness
that
Baby Boy God
Emmanuel
grew to
gift us
Our spiritual life is
vigorous participation
in the
"Growthing"
of the gift.
We live that
in our various
lands and ways
Differently Same
What visions, dreams, lights
do we have to follow and share?
WE INTERUPT THIS BLOG
FOR A SPECUL ANNONCEMENT
I just came down with COVID.
I am on the shady side of eighty three.
I feel terrible.
I cannot finish this blog.

the Kin Domain of God Good?
The current institutional church
is neither model nor hope.
The blue prints are the
words and way of Jesus shared
in the Gospels.
The Spirit provides
energy and guidance.
Given the difference of
your gifts, station, nation,
how can you together with others
live vigorously the one same
Kin Domain
of
God
Differently Same
